My PlayHome iPad App Is Awesome

I am extremely impressed with the My PlayHome application, which I’ve downloaded onto my iPad 2.  The premise of the application is to allow kids to do things around the house such as feed its residents, brush the residents’ teeth, dress the family, and much more!  There are four rooms in this app, each with tons of things to do – parents of autistic children have already left Facebook posts saying that their kids “loved this app.”

Among other things, kids can change the music that is playing by dragging different CDs to a stereo, turn on and off the lights, cook eggs in a pan, pour cereal, make coffee, organize toys, bathe the family, and so much more!  The depth of this app is really unbelievable, and it will be a long time before your child runs out of things to do and objects to play with.

Simple Interface on My PlayHome App for iPad

The beauty of My PlayHome is that everything is self explanatory.  There are only three buttons in the entire app – two of which are on the main screen, and one of which is in the actual application.

On the home screen of My PlayHome is a “Tidy the House!” button, which turns off faucets, stoves, and puts things back where they were by default.  The giant play icon that takes up the majority of the screen launches the game.  The third and final button is the set of arrow buttons which take you to different rooms.  Tap the right arrow to go right, the up arrow to go up, and so on.  Everything else is just tap and drag to make combinations!  Great app for kids with special needs!

Thanks to Shimon, who gave me a promo code for the application so that I could review it for my readers!
