“I’m tired of wasting money on poor quality apps!”

Life is Full of Challenges – Finding Great Apps Shouldn’t Be One of Them

If you have a child with special needs, then you know how challenging it can be for them to learn concepts like social skills, sentence building, and handwriting.

Sure, you’ve heard that the iPad can help, but how on earth are you supposed to find the right apps? . . . the best apps?

If you have ever been daunted by the 900,000+ apps … yes, nearly one million apps! …  available in the App Store, then you’re not alone!

Have you tried searching the words “special needs apps” or “autism apps” in the App Store?  The results are pretty dismal!  That’s because the App Store doesn’t categorize apps by “needs” or “skills.”

Let’s say you’re looking for an app that will help your child improve his or her fine motor skills.  If you search those words – “fine motor skills” – do you know how many results you will get?  Zero. Nada. Zilch!   (at least as of this article’s printing)

But, don’t worry … we’re about to give you a helping hand!

Very impressive and thank you for supporting kids with autism. :)
I am a parent of an autistic boy who I love dearly. His school district
started Proloquo2Go last yr. Unfortunately, they have no training in this
app and I was wondering how you became a certified user and lecturer of this app. Any info would be greatly appreciated. My school district would love
to get proper training of this app.

Hi Sue, Thanks for the kind words! You can visit this link: http://www.assistiveware.com/product/proloquo2go/resources to access some great Tutorial videos from the developer of Proloquo2Go (AssistiveWare). If you contact them, they can also let you know how to get certified (by completing their online course). Thanks again – and good luck! –Jack
