Hi first time commenter! Your comment is pending approval, but I’m sure it’ll make the cut very soon!
I’m Jack Kieffer, and I run Autism Plugged In. I just wanted to say thanks! I appreciate it when readers come out from the shadows and actually interact with me and the community we’re building together! It’s always a good thing.
Autism Plugged In is a place to combine my passion about gadgets with my desire to assist children with Autism. I began volunteering with special needs kids through our community’s Special Recreation Association and their recreational camps and have developed a passion for ensuring that kids with autism are able to get the assistance and education necessary to connect them with their world.
The iPad, iPhone, iPod, and various other handheld devices have been successfully used for educating and entertaining these special kids. They are an easy-to-use and affordable way to enhance an autistic child’s learning environment, and I’m here to help walk you through the various apps available to those with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related disabilities.
If you enjoy my articles here at Autism Plugged In, please subscribe to get regular updates delivered to your email or reader. Also, it helps Autism Plugged In, and I would really appreciate it!

Jack,
Can you teach me how to do something like this? I too want to help and feel called to do so, but web design and all the tech stuff isn’t my forte. Looking for help. If you can’t, could you point me in the right direction so I can learn the tech side of what I would like to do?
Bonnie

You will probably want to buy a theme rather than try to design your own… here are some good places you can get a theme once you have yourself set up on WordPress.

I, personally, host my site through BlueHost. They have great customer service via their online chat.

Throughout your blogging journey, feel free to contact me with any questions, and be sure to read a ton of articles on these couple websites before you just jump into picking a domain name and topic – I would do things differently if I knew what I know now.
